Rae Restaurant

Located in the renowned Cira Center, Rae Restaurant was named Philadelphia’s No. 1 dining destination during its first year.  The Lighting Practice worked with the design architects to create an atmosphere where cuisine and setting blend into a unique dining experience.  City lights on the skyline is a metaphor for the pattern of light in the restaurant.  Light glistens on metallic surfaces and decorative pendants glow in a staggered pattern, like windows in a high-rise.  The multitude of sources creates a soft light making a warm, inviting environment for elegant dining.  A multi-scene, preset dimming system varies the lighting intensity to the dining hour.
