Wharton MBA Career Management and Penn Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania
The renovation of the Wharton School Career Center transformed a dim, uninviting basement into a bright, uplifting hospitality suite for students to be interviewed in their "best light". Indirect and diffused warm fluorescent lighting creates a tranquil and energy efficient space, ideal for the student, interviewing companies, and university maintenance team. LED lightboxes at either end of the reception area introduce the feeling of natural daylight and provide visual wayfinding cues to student waiting areas or the suite's exit. Existing parabolic troffers in the interview rooms were replaced with luminous drum pendants which provide a soft, ambient light from a fully shielded fixture while also providing adequate task light on the work surface.
