Emad Hasan to Present at AIANY Procrastinators’ Days

Emad Hasan, Associate

Technological advances enable humans to be increasingly efficient, connected, and socially and environmentally conscious. Likewise, innovation in lighting technologies, combined with evolving building standards and energy codes, have expanded lighting’s role in shaping how people interact with the world around them. Emad Hasan, IALD, LEED AP BD+C, Principal of The Lighting Practice’s New York office, will discuss these changes and more at the 2019 Procrastinators’ Days hosted by the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) New York chapter.

Emad will present on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. During his presentation, titled “Technology & Design Trends in Lighting,” Emad will elaborate on advances in LED technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), increasingly stringent energy codes, and building standards such as LEED and WELL. He will explain how these advancements may influence the future of the built environment.

The AIANY Procrastinators’ Days is an annual, three-day continuing education event for members of the New York design community.
