At Illuminate Philadelphia 2018, Principal Michael Barber of The Lighting Practice will serve as the moderator of “Light, Health & Wellbeing,” the Breakfast Panel presented by Mariana Figueiro, PhD, Samer Hatter, PhD, and Robert Soler.

The members of the panel will share their research on light and health. Exploring the latest technologies that shed light on the physical and psychological impacts of lighting, the panel will discuss how designers might incorporate them in their profession.

Illuminate Philadelphia is an annual, one-day educational conference hosted by the Philadelphia section of the Illuminating Engineer Society (IES). The event offers presentations from leading industry professionals and covers a variety of topics. This year, the core topic is the role of lighting in human health. The Lighting Practice Principal Jered Widmer and Associate Rochelle Spahn are members of the IES planning committee tasked with organizing Illuminate Philadelphia.
