With the increased use of online banking, Citizens Bank was looking for ways to rethink their retail strategy. The Lighting Practice was tasked with creating a new flagship financial center for customers to access all their consumer, business, and wealth management banking needs. The result is a new 6,000 square foot flagship location that integrates technology, amenities, and design elements, which provide a unique yet familiar experience for both customers and employees.
To support the client’s goals of drawing customers into the banking center, the design team used lighting to create unique day and night appearance. This was accomplished by placing the primary lighting emphasis on the curved ribbon wall, then supplementing with small aperture downlighting for general illumination and decorative luminaires at select seating and table locations.
