Oliwia Pine AIAS

Lighting Designer I

Oliwia Pine joined The Lighting Practice in 2019 while earning her Bachelor of Architecture degree at Drexel University. Her passion for architecture peaked Oliwia’s interest in lighting design as a profession; she is inspired by the ways that light can highlight architectural elements and features. Since joining TLP, her experience has grown to include lighting for retail and corporate environments. She is an active student member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and often attends their local events. When Oliwia is not working or at school, she is creating jewelry for her Etsy store.

What’s your favorite aspect of light?

Its ability to transform a space and enhance architecture.

What motivates and inspires you?

The ability to control and improve people’s daily lives and the way they experience buildings through my work.

If you could go back in time, what wisdom would you pass on to your younger self?

Always do the things you don’t feel like doing.

How would people communicate in a perfect world?

Telepathically; there would be no misunderstandings, and people’s intentions would be clear.
