Raphaella Pereira AIAS

Lighting Designer

Raphaella joined The Lighting Practice in 2017. Her pursuit of professional lighting design comes from her interest in lighting as a powerful tool to impact people’s lives. She believes that light can transform a moment to be truly memorable. Raphaella is earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Drexel University. She is a A.J. Drexel Scholarship recipient and a member of the Pennoni Honors College.  Since joining TLP her project experience has expanded to include corporate, retail, multi-family residential, building facades, and exterior site lighting.

What’s your favorite aspect of light?
Light has the power to leave an impact on someone’s life at any time. It’s important to me how people perceive their memories, and I believe that light can transform a moment to be quite memorable.

What motivates and inspires you?
Knowing that I have the ability to make someone’s day better motivates me to be my best. Everyone deserves the chance to be happy in their lives and I strive to make that happen

What is your personal mission statement?
If you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.

Do you have any unusual skills or talents?
I can speak four languages: English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
