The Lighting Practice Celebrates SMPS Philly’s Phinest 2021 Marketing Communications Awards Win

The Lighting Practice is delighted to announce that the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Philadelphia Chapter awarded the firm First Place in the social media category during the Philly’s Phinest 2021 Marketing Communications Awards! The We Are The Lighting Practice LinkedIn Campaign was developed and spearheaded by Principal Jered Widmer, IALD, MIES, and TLP’s marketing team Darcy Veneziale, CPSM, and Karina Vargas-Aquino.

The winning campaign utilized LinkedIn and the firm’s “We Are The Lighting Practice” video to raise brand awareness, showcase TLP’s methodology and services, engage TLP’s team, and increase the firm’s visibility on LinkedIn by leveraging the team’s network. The two-month-long grassroots-inspired campaign garnered full team participation, 36 individuals, and increased LinkedIn engagement for TLP’s team on the firm’s company page.

Campaign Stats:

  • LinkedIn company page followers increased by 48.9%
  • YouTube channel views increased by 127.7%
  • YouTube impressions increased by 46.4%
  • Website traffic from LinkedIn increased by 90.9%
  • The campaign resulted in one project lead with a new client

“We are excited that our whole team was able to contribute to this campaign! Our results showed our team that LinkedIn is a powerful tool and that everyone’s individual networks are impactful to the TLP brand,” Karina said.

SMPS Philadelphia’s Marketing Communications Awards program celebrates the innovative work of marketing professionals working in local A/E/C firms. It is an opportunity to showcase both best practices in marketing and the critical role of marketing in a firm’s success. The program is modeled after the national SMPS organization’s prestigious Marketing Communication Awards program.
