A talented, energetic, and driven design team is the cornerstone of The Lighting Practice’s continued success. The firm’s growth and ongoing recruitment of outstanding lighting designers ensure its practice remains at the forefront of inspired and cutting-edge designs.
TLP is proud to welcome three new designers to help carry that legacy of extraordinary work.
John P. Howell, Lighting Designer
John Howell joined TLP after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University. His pursuit of a career in lighting design came from his interest in the technology, love of math, and desire to express himself creatively. John gained hands-on experience during an internship with a Boston area lighting design firm. Since joining TLP, his project experience has expanded to include hospitality environments and exterior facades.
Jacob N. Cogley, Lighting Designer
Jacob Cogley is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. A love for architecture sparked Jacob’s passion for lighting design. He believes light has a significant impact on how architecture is perceived. Jacob has expanded his project experience at TLP to include retail and healthcare environments.
Jacob A. Lotkowski, Lighting Designer
Jacob Lotkowski is also pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. Jacob’s interest in lighting design came from his desire to raise the profile of public design. He appreciates how a thoughtful approach to lighting enhances the built environment. Since joining TLP, his project experience has expanded to include retail, hospitality, and exterior facades.
“As TLP has expanded and adapted over the years to meet our clients’ needs, we have been fortunate to find talented and motivated team members to grow our staff,” TLP Principal Al Borden said.
