Two Team Members Promoted to Lighting Designer II

The Lighting Practice is delighted to announce that John Howell and Evan Wilson have been promoted to Lighting Designer II.

A Lighting Designer II is an experienced architectural lighting designer who serves as an internal design manager and project coordinator. They help develop concepts based on project goals, lighting criteria, budget, and energy codes.

John Howell, EP IES
John joined The Lighting Practice in 2016 after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University and then interning with a Boston-area lighting design firm. Since joining TLP, his project experience has expanded to include hospitality environments, corporate fit-outs, retail spaces, and exterior facades.

Evan Wilson MIES, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C
Evan Wilson joined The Lighting Practice in 2017 after working for another Philadelphia lighting firm. While earning his master’s degree, he developed specialized experience in human factors and circadian stimulus, optics design and modeling, industry applications for 3D printing, and the development of metrics for backlit signage. Evan’s project experience includes corporate, healthcare, hospitality, multi-family residential, places of worship, retail, transportation, and academic environments.

Both John and Evan are talented designers and organized, proactive problem solvers. Their experience and creativity are integral to TLP’s team and success.
