East Market

East Market is a 650,000 SF development that occupies an entire city block in the center of Philadelphia.

This vibrant mixed-use development includes a new 17-story residential tower with 322 units and a two-level 160,000 SF retail base; adaptive re-use of an 8-story, 44,000 SF former department store into offices; restoration of the historic 13-story Stephen Girard office building; and conversion of some forgotten alleyways into retail streets. The Lighting Practice provided interior and exterior lighting design for all common areas and residential spaces, including activation of the streetscape with integration of LED lighting sources into landscape/hardscape signage details.
