Fashion Valley Mall is a refresh of the prominent region shopping destination for Southern Californians. The largest mall in San Diego, and one of the largest in California with over 1.7 million SF of open-air shopping. The Lighting Practice took a minimalist approach to illumination by focusing on low output and integrated lighting to highlight new architectural elements while allowing tenant storefronts to be the focus for shoppers. The lighting design included upgrading all the outdated lighting to LED technology.
