Reading Terminal Market is a major Philadelphia staple. Visitors enter the market and the adjacent Pennsylvania Convention Center through the Filbert Street Corridor, which was once a dark and uninviting underpass. TLP designed a lighting system to establish a festive identity and provide a safe pedestrian environment. Programmable RGB LED nodes line the corridor’s beams, creating a dynamic visual contrast to the surrounding industrial materials. The walkways are illuminated by white and RGB LED fixtures with a full range of color options. Historical sconces blend seamlessly with the architecture while further illuminating walkways and enhancing pedestrian safety.
