Meet TLP’s Summer Intern

The Lighting Practice is excited to announce our newest Summer 2024 Intern, Jordyn. Through this internship, she will work alongside TLP’s lighting designers and learn the day-to-day responsibilities, understand more in-depth technical knowledge, and pursue her passion for design.

Jordyn Sanders is currently in her third year at Pennsylvania State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering. She is spending her time off from school to intern at The Lighting Practice’s Philadelphia office. At Penn State, she is the Product Design Captain of THON(what does it stand for), and is a part of Phi Sigma Rho Sorority and Club Cross Country. Jordyn pursued a lighting design internship because she enjoys the artistic and technical crossovers lighting offers. Her interest for lighting came about from the role lighting plays in health.

“I find it so incredible how much the lighting of a space can affect not only our mood and visual comfort, but our health as well,” exclaims Jordyn.

While working in Philadelphia this summer, she is excited to visit all the historical sites and museums Philadelphia has to offer. When she is not interning at TLP or studying Architectural Engineering, Jordyn enjoys running, spending time with friends, and crafty hobbies like crocheting and painting.
