Bexar County Courthouse

The Bexar County Courthouse is a registered National Landmark located at the end of an open plaza in the heart of downtown San Antonio. Its prominent location on the city’s main plaza, and its status as a registered National Landmark, make it a significant attraction. The Lighting Practice was asked to create a nighttime identity that is as powerful and enduring as the court house’s native stone structure. The façade is illuminated from five pole locations that are discretely integrated into the plaza’s landscaping. Building-mounted lights are carefully integrated to avoid damaging the historic façade. TLP provided detailed renderings and budgets as part of an initial feasibility study to facilitate the project’s fundraising effort.
