The Lighting Practice led a team of professionals and student volunteers to create this lighting and sound presentation for Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA). TLP’s show lighting system combined our Avenue of the Arts color-changing facade lights with our design of a temporary installation of moving and color-changing lights and projections from Philadelphia City Hall. The effect immersed 5 city blocks and 13 buildings into a daily 61-minute show that interpreted the history of Philadelphia in vivid colors, images, and an original musical score. The installation was in place for the month of April 2011.
