The Lighting Practice Projects Recognized By The Illuminating Engineering Society

This year The Lighting Practice submitted three (3) projects to our local IES Philadelphia Section’s awards program, The Philament Awards and to the Illuminating Engineering Society’s international awards program, The Illumination Awards.

Both The Philaments and the Illumination Awards recognize projects that exemplify strong lighting design, but also the professionalism, ingenuity and originally of the lighting. We are proud to report that all of our projects, Horseshoe Baltimore Casino, The Franklin Institute: Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pavilion, and Atlantic Health System – Chambers Center for Well Being, were recognized locally by the IES Philadelphia Section and by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES NA).

Horseshoe Baltimore Casino (Baltimore, MD) received the Philament Award which is the highest honor the IES Philadelphia Section bestows. This project was also recognized internationally and received an Award of Merit from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America’s Illumination Awards. This project received scores high enough to move on to final judging for further consideration for additional honors by the IESNA Illumination Awards.
