The Lighting Practice Welcomes Brian, Drew & Leo

The key to The Lighting Practice’s legacy of excellence is its talented team of lighting designers whose expertise spans multiple disciplines. These professionals bring together their ideas, knowledge, and talents to transform ordinary spaces into captivating and memorable places. TLP is excited to welcome three new team members, Brian Wiley, Drew Miner and Leo McIlvain to the team.

Brian Wiley – Senior Lighting Designer, New York, NY
Brian Wiley joined The Lighting Practice’s New York office in 2022 as a Senior Lighting Designer. He is an award-winning Lighting Designer with an education in Interior Architecture and Psychology. Brian is a skilled BIM leader with experience creating and implementing standards across multiple offices. His strengths include managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while making the design process fun and rewarding. When he’s not designing, Brian enjoys cycling and seeking opportunities for adventure.

Drew Miner – Senior Lighting Designer, Dallas, TX
Drew Miner joined The Lighting Practice’s Dallas team in 2022, as a Senior Lighting Designer / Special Team for Target. Drew earned his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington. After working for several architectural firms, Drew found more interest in retailers, as he found store design lighting more engaging. He also enjoyed assisting in lowering energy usage, and the idea of leaving a little more energy behind for future generations. When he’s not designing, Drew enjoys having friends over for meals, getting active in his community, and gardening and home improvement projects.

Leo McIlvain – Designer, Philadelphia, PA
Leo McIlvain joined The Lighting Practice in 2023 as a Designer, where he works with TLP’s Special Team for Target. Leo is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Drexel University, where a lighting course piqued his interest in how versatile and impactful lighting can be in influencing the quality of a space. In his role, he coordinates with allied team members, performs documentation of design and construction administration tasks. When Leo’s not designing lighting, he enjoys biking, crocheting, and photography.

TLP is delighted to welcome Brian, Drew and Leo to the team.
