Civic Theatre of Allentown

The Civic Theatre has been a landmark in Lehigh County, PA for nearly a century. When the Art Deco building began to show signs of age, the client commissioned a master plan to update the theater’s amenities while restoring its former glory. The Lighting Practice redesigned the lighting system within the box office, lobby, auditorium, stage, control booths, and concessions. Working with the design team and client, TLP refurbished the historic lighting while providing an integrated, user-friendly lighting system that delivers the critical range of dimming needs for performance. Higher, more uniform lighting levels in the auditorium improve the guest experience while minimizing impact to the ceilings and acoustic/visual disruption.
