The Pointe Orlando is an open-air destination that brings together shopping, dining, cinemas, and nightlife in a vibrant, pedestrian-focused environment. The project centered on reinvigorating its public spaces to increase foot traffic and enhance the overall visitor experience.
Lighting played a key role in achieving these goals by establishing welcoming illumination levels while highlighting both architectural features and the site’s lush landscape. Special attention was given to the property’s signature elements, including the prominent palm trees and “The Link,” a pedestrian tunnel transformed through dynamic, programmable color-changing lighting.
The tunnel presented a unique design challenge due to the constraints of its existing structure. Through close collaboration with the architectural team and fixture manufacturers, the lighting was carefully integrated into the space, ensuring a seamless and cohesive result.
The completed design elevates the pedestrian experience, creating a more engaging and visually compelling environment that encourages visitors to explore and spend time within the venue.
