TLP Welcomes Sarah Lurie & Brandon Lester to the Team!

The key to The Lighting Practice’s legacy of excellence is its talented team of lighting designers whose expertise spans multiple disciplines. These professionals bring together their ideas, knowledge, and talents to transform ordinary spaces into captivating and memorable places. TLP is excited to welcome Sarah Lurie to our New York office and Brandon Lester to our Philadelphia office.

Sarah Lurie – Designer
Sarah Lurie joined The Lighting Practice’s New York team in 2022 as a Designer. Sarah graduated from New York University Tisch School of Design with a degree in Theatrical Lighting. In previous roles, she worked in theatrical lighting design and site-specific light art installations. Since 2017, Sarah has worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at New York University, teaching Lighting Design ITP Standards and special seminars. In her role as a Designer at The Lighting Practice, Sarah will work on a variety of projects, coordinating with allied team members, performing documentation of design, completing construction administration tasks and more.

Brandon Lester – Production Assistant
Brandon Lester joined The Lighting Practice in 2022 as Production Assistant. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management, he worked in many hospitality venues, where he learned the impact lighting design has on hospitality environments and how it affects people’s experiences in those spaces. As a Production Assistant, Brandon documents lighting layouts, elevations, selections and lighting details. In this position, he collaborates with project teams to establish documentation timelines, interprets design information and executes redline mark-ups, and more.
