Situated within Las Olas Marina, Ocean Prime Fort Lauderdale draws inspiration from its yacht harbor setting, translating a refined nautical aesthetic into a light-filled dining experience. Rich wood tones are balanced with bright finishes to create an atmosphere that is both sleek and airy. Lighting is thoughtfully integrated to complement the architecture, subtle and discreet, enhancing materials while maintaining the space’s open, coastal feel.
Illumination is intentionally focused, highlighting what matters most: tabletops, key architectural features, and curated elements such as artwork, wine displays, and bar compositions. On the exterior patios, lighting is minimized to gently define pathways and landscape while preserving expansive marina views.
The primary defining experience is found within the main bar and dining area of the first floor. A cluster of opalescent shells breaks the ceiling plane and flutters light throughout, giving the space an airy and bright presence. Working closely with the architect, The Lighting Practice selectively placed downlights and a soft cove glow to enhance this feature, creating a luminous, layered environment. Throughout both levels, integrated lighting within millwork and displays adds depth and visual interest while maintaining a warm, intimate ambiance.
The result is a carefully balanced lighting design that establishes a clear visual hierarchy, guiding guests through the space while emphasizing both the architecture and the dining experience.
